10th Anniversary General Assembly of the Association of Ukrainian Youth Centers 2026
On May 8–10, the General Assembly of the Association of Ukrainian Youth Centers (AUYC) took place in Kyiv. This year’s gathering was especially significant as the Association celebrated its 10th anniversary.
The event brought together around one hundred representatives of youth centers from all across Ukraine. Over the course of three days, participants reflected on the Association’s achievements, discussed the development of youth work, exchanged experiences, and outlined the future directions for its activities.

The General Assembly program combined official, educational, and networking components. On the first day, participants joined an AUYC integration session, listened to Stories of Change, and learned more about international programs and opportunities available for youth centers.
A special highlight of the opening ceremony was the greetings from partners and international organizations. Among them was Lennert Vorsselmans, Vice-President of the European Confederation of Youth Clubs (ECYC), who emphasized the importance of youth work and supporting young people in today’s circumstances.
The second day focused on the official part of the General Assembly: activity reports, the election of the Association’s new governing bodies, and discussions on the further development of the network. Participants also learned more about the work of the European Youth Information and Counselling Agency (ERYICA).
As part of the General Assembly, the governing bodies were re-elected.

Anna-Mariia Mykhailiuk was elected as the new Head of the Association of Ukrainian Youth Centres.

The newly elected Board members are:
- Zoriana Shulhina
- Mykola Mokryk
- Kateryna Bezhynar

The Supervisory Committee members are:
- Oleksandr Kashlakov
- Mykola Kushyna
- Alina Kasianova
At the end of the day, youth centers also received Association’s membership plaques as a symbol of unity, partnership, and the development of a shared network of youth centers across Ukraine.

The third day of the General Assembly was dedicated to discussing the research study “From Leisure to Participation” conducted by the National Ukrainian Youth Association, as well as the new stage of state support for the youth sector within the framework of Resolution No. 1252 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The anniversary General Assembly became a space for new connections, experience exchange, and shaping a common vision for the future of youth work in Ukraine.
