General
information

The STEM-MAKER Open Community Workshop is a modern technical and educational space right in the heart of the city, designed to support the development of children, teenagers, and active young adults. We’re located near key public transportation stops, and there are cozy cafes right nearby where our visitors can grab a bite to eat during breaks.

Our space is fully inclusive: the entrance is equipped with a ramp, making the workshop accessible to people with disabilities. We’re open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and we stay open longer as needed or when hosting special events. STEM-MAKER is a self-sufficient space with uninterrupted Wi-Fi access, so work never stops, no matter what.

Layout of our space:

Small Robotics Room: a space for young engineers, equipped with LEGO WeDo 2.0, Spike Prime, and EV3 building sets, as well as Arduino platforms.

Large conference room: a bright area with a projector, comfortable tables, chairs, and plush beanbags. This is where psychological training sessions, workshops, and strategic sessions take place.

Games and relaxation area: visitors have access to a large collection of board games for socializing and unwinding.

STEM-MAKER features 5 professional labs:

3D printing: a powerful fleet of 7 printers (a high-speed Bambu Lab and 6 reliable Ender printers).

Laser cutting: work with a CNC laser cutting machine.

Metalworking: equipped with a lathe for professional machining of parts.

Welding, cutting, and plasma machining: an area for creating sturdy metal structures and a plasma cutter for bringing even the boldest design projects to life.

Electronics and soldering: a lab for mastering the basics of circuit design and microelectronics.

We regularly host technical workshops, educational courses, and psychological support events. STEM-MAKER is a smoke- and alcohol-free space where knowledge, creativity, and mutual support are our core values.

Our view

The “STEM-MAKER” vision is an innovative space for technical creativity and youth development, where everyone can master the technologies of the future, turn a bold idea into a real invention, and find support for personal growth among like-minded people.

Our goal

The mission of “STEM-MAKER” is to create and develop a unique, open youth center for technical creativity that meets the community’s current needs in the areas of STEM education, non-formal learning, and innovation. We strive to provide the city’s children and active youth with a safe, energy-independent, and inclusive environment for carrying out technical projects, gaining practical skills in professional laboratories, relieving stress, and engaging in meaningful leisure activities.

Principles of work

Safety and Responsibility, Innovation, Inclusivity (equal opportunities for all), Maker Culture (learning by doing), Openness to New Ideas, Mutual Support, Healthy Lifestyle, Energy Independence and Sustainability, Eco-Friendly Communication (Psychological Comfort), Teamwork.

Additional Information

Despite our official hours (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.), we’re always ready to accommodate active young people and makers by extending our hours upon request to support urgent or large-scale projects.

All tools and equipment are available for use after completing basic safety training. We create a space where making mistakes is part of the learning process!
