Let’s help the members of the Association of Ukrainian Youth Centres in rescuing residents of flooded settlements of Kherson region!

The situation in the Kherson region is still catastrophic. Settlements are flooding, citizens try to save themselves from powerful waterstreams. Many volunteers, both from the Kherson region and all over Ukraine, are helping to deal with the aftermath of the dam explosion at the Kakhovka HPS.

The members of the Association of Ukrainian Youth Centres actively supporting Kherson residents too! In particular, a representative of the Kherson youth center "MoloDizhka" Yevhen Shatilov and his mother Natalia. They held educational events and trainings for the city people not long ago. But now, together with other volunteers, they are setting up humanitarian hubs in Kherson and raising funds for the needs of local residents.

Two areas are currently relevant: rescue supplies and items to equip shelters. People need clothes, hygiene products, mattresses, pillows, blankets, food, medicine, underwear, animal feed, etc.

The question of clean and potable water is an acute one. After the flooding, it mixed with sewage, fuel oil, and other impurities. Therefore, people need water that is suitable for consumption, tablets and filters for purification.

Fundraising is ongoing. A lot of humanitarian aid is now going to Kherson, so the funds will be accumulated and, after analyzing the needs, directed to the most urgent requests.
